How Much to Deposit?
As you will know by now, the minimum amount you can deposit into your Orbit account via Bet-Football is 100 euros. But is this going to get you very far? The honest answer is: no … it can work, but your Matched Betting will get off to a fairly slow start and might end in frustration, as you will probably end up having to make further deposits fairly soon.
So why would it be a good idea to deposit a higher amount right away? To answer this question, we first need to look at liability.
Your balance on Orbit needs to be high enough to cover the liability for any lay bet you wish to place. (Read our guide on liability if you’re unsure what exactly this means.)
Let’s say you are doing the Betsson sign-up offer, with a 100% bonus of €100. You have €200 in your Betsson account and you are placing your first bet. The minimum odds are 1,80.

As you can see, even with choosing a match with back odds of 1,85, close to the minimum odds, the liability for your lay bet with a back stake of €200 is €167,65, well over your Orbit balance if you deposited just €100.
Of course you could place several smaller bets, but it will take longer and the chances that you have to go through the full wagering will be higher.
The amount you need for your Orbit liability depends on the respective odds. Your liability is always calculated according to this formula: lay stake * lay odds – lay stake.
Here is an example with higher odds:

You will notice that the lay stake is almost the same as in the first example, but the liability is considerably higher, because of the higher odds.
Of course it is up to you what odds you choose, but you have to stay above the minimum odds for the offer that you’re doing, and as the majority of the sign-up offers are for 100% up to €100, your first bet should ideally be for €200, which will usually require a balance on Orbit of at least between €150 and €200.
To Withdraw or Not to Withdraw?
If your first offer went well, you will have added just under €200 to your Orbit balance. But what now? Should you withdraw part of your balance, or keep it for further offers? What is the ideal balance to have on Orbit?
Again, there is no definitive answer to these questions. It probably mostly depends on your bankroll and whether you need available funds to deposit into your next bookmaker account.
Another factor is how quickly you want to proceed. Do you want to even do several sign-up offers at the same time? In that case, we would recommend leaving as much money as you can spare in your Orbit account.
There will inevitably come a time when you are doing a rollover offer and your bets just keep winning. If and when that happens, your Orbit balance will be depleted really quickly, and you will have to deposit again, with the associated fees.
Many of our members always have a balance of around €1,000 with Orbit and only withdraw if their balance goes significantly above that.
However, if you really need the cash to deposit with bookmakers, of course, it’s entirely up to you to make withdrawals, and don’t ever worry about being restricted or even gubbed by Orbit, as this only ever happens with bookmakers.
Just bear in mind the following: Orbit offer one free withdrawal per week (Monday to Sunday) with a minimum of €200, and the successive withdrawal that week will have a 1% fee. If you want to withdraw less than €200, there will be a €2 fee.
